Mr Daniel Ezra Comments On Baaps Advertising Guidelines

Media comment

3rd March 2016

Trinity PR’s pleased to be working alongside Mr Daniel Ezra, Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon, specializing in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the areas around the eyes.    See his comment below  on The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons’ (BAAPS) new guidelines to regulate advertising.

“I absolutely agree that advertising in the plastic surgery industry needs to be regulated and welcome this move by BAAPS to bring in these guidelines in April.  Patients should only choose to proceed with treatment following consultation and advice from a qualified, registered surgeon who is prepared to give a genuine and honest opinion about their suitability for surgery and the range of options available.  It is also vital that patients seek treatment from a medical professional with a surgical specialism (e.g. eye, breast, rhinoplasty) to ensure the procedure is performed safely and with absolute precision and expertise.  People should never be persuaded to seke treatment through any form of “offer” and it is a wholly unacceptable practice.”
