One of the UK’s leading fertility experts, Dr Venkat from Harley Street Fertility Clinic (HSFC) warns that couples with busy lives are not engaging in enough sexual intercourse and this is impacting the nations fertility.
“Although this may seem obvious, one of the most common problems for couples not conceiving is due to not engaging in enough regular sexual intercourse” states Dr Venkat, Director at HSFC.
According to new research, couples are having less sex this year on average, than they were in 2014. The blame for this sudden lack of lovemaking? For many people working longer hours, stressful jobs and financial worries often are a key factor in couples feeling less amorous.
To increase your chances of being successful, having unprotected sex every few days means that there will always be a supply of sperm in the right place whenever you ovulate. Experts suggest that you should engage in unprotected sex at least 3-4 times a week. So, simply taking it easy and enjoying your love life may be the best way to boost your chances.
