Europe’s Biggest Provider Of 24 Hour Care Say We Need To Improve Dementia Care To Provide For Our Ageing Population
Recent statistics launched to coincide with World Alzheimer’s Day revealed that one in three people in the UK will develop dementia[1].
With an ageing population, one of the biggest challenges facing our health and care sector is to meet the demands of this complex and distressing condition. Dementia affects 800,000 people in the UK. Trinity PR’s client, independent live-in care specialists Promedica24 released the following comment on the issue;
Robin Sidebottom, Country Manager for Promedica24, says; “For the past 10 years, Promedica24 has provided live-in support to thousands of people across Europe and we’re delighted that our service and overall ethos has already been so well received in the UK.
“Our teams are committed to delivering support and live-in care assistance to our clients (many of whom are living with dementia) so they can enjoy a good level of independence and can lead as normal as life as possible, within the comfort, security and familiarity of their own home. Companionship, compassion and comfort are at the very core of Promedica24’s service offering and we are passionate about offering home care as an affordable and dignified option for those living with dementia, as well as other chronic conditions. Because dementia is a disease that impacts on so many peoples lives , it is important to offer options in which patients can be in a familiar environment as long as possible”
