Date For The Diary….. Acupuncture Awareness Week

The agency is delighted to be working with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) to help promote their first Acupuncture Awareness Week on the 25th March to the 1st of April 2023.

The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the UK’s largest, member-led, professional body for traditional acupuncturists. The BAcC aims to establish the highest standards of professional practice for the Acupuncture profession in the UK. The organisation has a 3,000 strong membership and is proud to support acupuncturists on their journey from student through to full practising member.

It is hoped that following on from this year, the Awareness Week will become an annual event. The umbrella theme for 2023 is “Getting to the point of it” and members of the Council will be working together with the Agency to;

  • Raise the profile of acupuncture as a valid healthcare choice, to help manage a range of conditions
  • Highlight the role of the BAcC for traditional acupuncturists as the UK’s leading professional body, upholding high standards of training and safety in practice
  • Encourage prospective patients to visit the BAcC’s website to find an BAcC acupuncturist near them (via the Find an Acupuncturist tool).

Trinity will be supporting the Council with a media relations and broadcast campaign, including launching the results of a new NOP and membership survey; for press releases and media information, as well as exclusive patient testimonials email: For additional updates go to:, @british_acu_council  or Twitter @TheBAcC.

A bit about acupuncture:

Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted at strategic sites into the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes.  It is seen as a form of complementary or alternative medicine.  Traditional acupuncture is based on the belief that an energy or life force flows through the body in channels call meridians know as Qi (pronounced chee).
